Everyday, the K-Tek team turns graphite, aluminum, steel and other materials into the products you trust.
Founded in 1996 by Manfred N. Klemme, K-Tek has built its reputation on innovation and a deep respect for the craft of sound recording. Driven by a passion for audio, Manfred set out to design lightweight, ultra-strong, and audio-friendly boom poles made in the USA—tools that would genuinely improve life on set. That commitment quickly earned industry recognition, including a Technical Achievement Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 1999 for the Klassic Boompole. Since then, K-Tek has continued to receive awards and acclaim for its elegantly designed, precision-built products trusted by sound professionals worldwide.
Innovation at K-Tek goes hand in hand with uncompromising build quality and customer support. Products are designed to withstand the demands of real-world production environments, and the company proudly stands behind them. Under the leadership of Manfred’s daughter, Brenda, K-Tek has continued to push boundaries—introducing standout solutions like the award-winning Nautilus suspension mount and expanding into video accessories and camera support systems inspired directly by customer feedback. Every K-Tek product is shaped by the needs of working professionals, and that collaboration remains at the heart of the brand’s philosophy—listening, refining, and delivering tools that help crews do their best work.
